A few words about us…

Coming as a refugee from Pontos in 1922, our grandfather first settled in Sidirokastro, Serres. There, he began his career in shoemaking, opening a small workshop. There, he began his career in shoemaking, opening a small workshop.

In 1943 the family comes to Thessaloniki, starting a business manufacturing and selling shoes and leather goods on Solomou Street, while in 1955 a tannery operates.

Then in 1964, at 42 Venizelou, he opened a shoe store (wholesale and retail) under the name ‘Special’, while 10 years later, the family opened a store and craft in Evzonon.

His pioneering work in the manufacture of leather garments made it the first such workshop in Greece, which supplied all the major branded stores in the country, while his special creations were worn by many celebrities of that time, such as Vougiouklaki, Kourkoulos, Harry Klynn, Parios, Dionysiou and Mitsias among others.

From then until today, the company Askaridis continues with the same passion and love to offer leather clothes always with respect to the needs of our customers.
